New Burma is a burmese restaurant in San Francisco, California. It is listed at 659 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94103, which places it among the local businesses of San Francisco that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under asian restaurant, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Francisco, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach New Burma at (415) 552-4782; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is newburmaca.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 94 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Francisco follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Had takeout order. The food is surprisingly delicious! As a health conscious person, the restaurant has many clean food options: lettuce wrap with shrimp, tofu, chicken, etc. Not too oily or heavily flavored unlike many other restaurant, but still brings out the best taste! Btw, the coconut pudding is sooo good if you want a little dessert but not too artificially sweet!

Never going to this place again. Was in town staying at the hospital and used a rideshare to get there and I was really looking forward to their food. Walked in and the floor were sticky, and it was the type of place that doesn’t have a decent sit down atmosphere. The food was okay, but they messed up half of my order and gave me a Salad and Coconut Rice when I ordered Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Brown rice. I called the next day and they said they wouldn’t give me a refund on 2 items they messed up.

We are happy we tried this place. The servings are for sharing and quite good. The staff are nice and attentive to the order. I am not sure how authentic the food here but I can tell the quality and taste of the food is very good. :) We will try other food in the menu next time. The price of the food is reasonable. :)

Amazing place! No reservations needed it was pretty empty inside. Good: - Super amazing food - loved the pad Thai and the coconut noodle soup was similarly really good - Service was great very nice staff but the food did take a bit to come out - I liked the platha a lot - The place is super cute and homey - Prices were good Bad: - The dessert was just ok the semolina cake was a bit too soft and tasted a bit like dirt Overall would come again! The food is so clean and healthy

My friend recommended this place and I went to try it with my husband on Friday night. We ordered chili beef, tea leaf salad, orange chicken and all good and the tea leaf salad was really good. I will definitely go back and try other dishes there.
